Rotary park was well maintained. We took some time to throw some discs on the course which has a few options to chose from on level. We will be returning in the spring for more fun and of course we checked off one of the wv swings!
This one can be a little interesting to find, but it is well worth it. Follow the directions to rotary park, pass to the right of the sports fields and go up the hill, at the top of the hill there is plenty of parking. There is a trail the goes around the peak, if you park near the top of the lot and follow the paced path to the right past the covered sign there is a small grade it will take you to some picnic tables with a great view of the river, just keep following the trail at the shelters you are about 1/2 way to the swing. it will be onyour right. Going this way is less of an incline, shaded. probably about 4 city blocks.
We've gone to several of the Almost Heaven swings without any issues, and tried to visit this one while we were in Huntington for an event. The roads to get to this park were terrible. We pulled into the first parking lot at the park, and there were a couple in a car pretty obviously having sex. We then found the correct parking lot and walked up to the swing where another pair were 'enjoying' the swing. I will note this was a 3pm in broad daylight. We very quickly left the park without actually seeing the swing.
