We did the downtown pass which got us Wizard's Quest, Cheese Ball, and Ripley. If you plan on doing two of these fully recommended the pass. It was fun overall only 8 holes so passes fast. The themeing was so fun thu and we loved it.
Cheeseball Croquet in the Wisconsin Dells is a wildly imaginative and entertaining twist on traditional mini golf, and we had an absolute blast! The layout is incredibly creative, with vibrant theming that blends oversized cheese traps, quirky obstacles, and fun surprises at every turn. It’s like croquet meets mini golf with a whimsical, Wisconsin twist. The rules are a bit complicated at first, so we’d definitely recommend taking a photo of them before you start—once you get into the swing of it, everything clicks into place and the game becomes a lot more intuitive. One of the best parts is that you're not limited to hitting the ball a specific way; you can use any part of the mallet, which adds freedom and strategy to your shots. Unlike mini golf where there’s usually only one clear path to the hole, Cheeseball Croquet offers multiple ways to score, making it feel more dynamic. The sensor-activated cheese traps were a clever touch, though a bit finicky at times. Occasionally, a bad bounce would send us into a corner that was hard to get out of, which felt a little punishing—but honestly, it just added to the challenge and laughs. Overall, the experience was unique, fun, and full of personality. The novelty of the course and creative mechanics made it memorable, and it’s something we’d definitely come back to. Whether you're with friends or family, Cheeseball Croquet is a cheesy, delightful must-try in the Dells!
A very large group entered just before us (16 people), and of course it was taking them 30 minutes to play each hole. It took a long time before we finally asked if we could skip them and go to the next hole. This alleviated the issue, which I'm thankful for, but wish someone would have suggested it rather than waiting for 15 minutes with two littles.
