Liberty Station Esplanade is one of those places I keep coming back to. It’s right by the water, with wide open paths that are perfect for walking, biking, or just sitting and enjoying the breeze. The views across the harbor are peaceful, and the mix of old Navy buildings and new restaurants gives it a unique vibe. I’ve spent afternoons here grabbing coffee, taking a slow walk, and watching the sunset, it always feels relaxing and laid-back. Whether you’re out with family, friends, or just on your own, it’s a spot that makes you slow down and enjoy San Diego’s charm.
Revamp this review: Liberty Station Esplanade, or NTC Park, is located not far from the very end of San Diego International Airport's Runway 27, the runway that is mostly used for its departures. This park provides captivating views of aircraft taking off from the airport, and is also a nice area to enjoy the views of the bay while taking a stroll. As an aviation enthusiast, this is one of the many recommended plane spotting locations to visit at San Diego. The airport would sometimes switch runways if the weather conditions change, too.
Plenty of parking in lots and street. Lots of walking paths. Very clean and spread out areas. Plenty of picnic tables with grills. Airplane traffic noise.
