This park is really a gem. There are batting cages, a driving range, a ninja warrior course, a pond with pedal boats, multiple playgrounds and walking trails. It was our 15 month old’s first hike where she walked the trails! We have rented a pavilion for our son’s birthday and can’t wait.
4/2/22-It’s opening day for the mini golf at Locust Shade Park. It was our first time and we had a really great time. 18 holes, adults for $6 and $5.25 for the kids. We played for about an hour and laughed and had fun. It was warm this Saturday and we thought that it might be crowded, but only two other groups were there. Six more groups as we left. Go to the driving range,(it’s the first left after entering the park), and purchase your ticket to play. Pick a ball at the counter and get a putter. Bathrooms are available here. They also have a nice driving range and a batting cage. Our next trip here will be to try out the driving range and maybe a nature trail. Maybe some fishing this summer. Enjoy!
The hiking / mountain bike trails are well maintained. There were a few down trees across the trail but this was the first dry weekend in quite a while.
