They have done a great job. There are so many lights and lots to look at. We went right after it snowed so it was even better. They have concessions that have beer ,hot cocoa (adult style and kid friendly) to walk around and enjoy if that's you thing. We parked in the very last lot due to being busy. Which was good for easy exit. Its a little bit of a walk to the lights. For us it was a fun walk. I will recommend if you or someone has trouble walking they do have tractors with Christmas lights going around to shuttle you closer.
Mel's Holiday Lights Festival turned out to be fantastic. Was not sure at first. Traffic was a nightmare then once parked the line to get in was so long you couldn't see the start point. However the staff did a great job with moving the line. There were so many people the time slot reservations were null and void. I would recommend going later. Once inside you really didn't notice the fact that it was crowded. I would definitely do this again, so cool!
Highly disappointed. Upon arrival, we greeted the staff, who seemed disengaged. We were not informed about the mini golf course or our option to play one of two courses. After struggling with six holes while maneuvering my aunt, who uses a walker, we asked the office attendants about the difference between the two courses. The response was that one is easier and one is more challenging. We should have been informed from the start, especially given my aunt's walking disabilities. After changing courses, we were still let down by the bad conditions. As one of the first to arrive, we cleaned up the greens ourselves from fallen leaves and slippery plant materials. This course has potential but needs work, especially wider paths for those with mobility issues. Staff should be informed and trained to welcome guests, not just take their money. Before opening, consider using a leaf blower; it's common sense and should be a daily routine. The golf hut restrooms were in horrible condition, with no working soap dispensers and filthy. Hopefully, new owners will bring a fresh start because we used to like Mel’s
