My wife and I decided to go for a date night and had a great evening! The staff was fantastic - every person we encountered, from up front to the golf course to the restaurant, was very friendly and helpful. The course was fun and I loved the New England sports themes. The electronic scoring system is neat and the ability to play holes that aren’t being played (instead of being forced to play them in order) is a great idea to keep things moving. We grabbed dinner afterward and, as you can see from the photo, the servings were ample and the food was good. Some (hopefully) constructive feedback: the atmosphere could use some work. The space was pretty large and open (great for mini golf!) but was a little barren. The spot is pretty new so I’m sure it will improve. Filling all the blank space with things like old sports memorabilia or Maine/New England related decor that lots of folks probably have laying around should be an inexpensive way to fill in the blank spots. Maybe look at some other spots that have their space dialed in for inspiration. Can Can Wonderland in St Paul is the best example I’ve been to for an indoor space. Once the ambience is tuned in this is gonna be a top notch, can’t miss spot for Portland! We will definitely be back!
Our first time, and we will definitely be back! We booked a tee time online 15 minutes before we arrived and had no wait to start golfing. We loved that we could order/enjoy beverages on the course and an extra bonus they had our favorite local brews (hello, Belleflower and Bissell) We loved the scorekeeping system, and the themes of the holes. We grabbed a table after our first round and grabbed a few snacks, all delicious. Our server Scotty, was so friendly and accommodating. Overall, such a fun place to spend the afternoon, and watch the Pats game as well!
Visited Minibar for Valentine's day. It was very busy, but the pace of play wasn't bad at all. The holes all have a fun sports or New England theme and overall, the difficulty is pretty low. Made for fast paced and fun play. The electronic scoring system is really cool, allowing you to play the course in any order, or pause your game for a trip to the bar. Not that you need too, because the staff here is ON FIRE. They dart through the crowds (and errant balls) cleaning tables and bringing drinks with speed and a great attitude. We had a wonderful time with Trinity who made the Valentines day trip at a mini golf course feel much more grand than it should have. The food was cooked well, the portions were too big to finish and the drinks were potent. I think my wife is still wearing the candy bracelet that was wrapped around her martini glass! All in all, a good time, with great vibes. Will be back for Karaoke night!
