By reading the reviews after my experience today, I am surprised if the owners want any business. My husband and I are golf enthusiasts and was looking to get stuff for ourselves and souvenirs for our friends and family. We were the only ones in the store but Immediately was followed around the entire store, and anything I showed interest, the lady asked me if I wanted to buy it… every single item I touched or had a double take. I kindly told her her maybe, I’m still browsing. She did the same to my husband. She kept following me and asking me intrusive or pushing me to buy right away as if I couldn’t browse. I told my husband that their covers were cute and she INTERRUPTED my convo asking if I wanted a driver cover for the print I liked - lady I wasn’t talking to you. Anyway, I ignored this behavior because I was actually interested in the items they had (they had a lot of cool stuff) and gave them the benefit of the doubt that maybe they were slow that day. I then noticed the male owner walking up to my husband and asked if my husband was going to buy something right now because him and his wife would like to take a break …as in they were tired of harassing/following us the entire time and would like for us to leave if we weren’t buying anything. We immediately left. It’s a shame because we were going to purchase a few items too.
RUDE! No store hours posted. We walk on and start looking. Approached by very rude lady that asks if we want to try it on. We said no we are looking, she said we are closed. There are 5 other Asian people in there and they were not hassled. They are beside the Ross store...don't even bother entering. Overpriced and beyond rude!!!! Looked online to check other reviews and found that they are open until 8:30. It is not even 8 yet. I think their merchandise is knock offs...not authentic.
I visited this golf shop in Waikiki with my sister while on vacation, and it was easily one of the worst shopping experiences I’ve ever had. When we first walked in, my sister had a drink. The male owner immediately approached us and said, “Sorry, no drinks allowed.” Fair enough—we took care of it and returned. From that moment, he started following us around the store, making repeated comments like, “This is a golf store, not a toy store,” even though we were teenagers and clearly just browsing. He kept awkwardly laughing while watching us, which was uncomfortable. We were hoping to buy a gift for our favorite teacher who likes golf. While we were quietly discussing what to get, he interrupted and asked my sister, “Do you even play golf?” When she replied she likes mini golf better, he laughed and mocked her. It got worse. As we continued browsing, he pointed at a sweater and said, “That’s a golf sweater, limited edition. It’s too expensive for you. You can’t afford it. It’s $150.” First of all, who is he to judge how much money we have? Completely unnecessary and rude. Throughout the visit, he kept making excuses for us to leave, and finally claimed, “We’re closed. Not open yet,” even though we were clearly allowed to be there. On top of that, he cussed in Korean while talking to us—something I understand, which just made the experience even more uncomfortable. Overall, this was incredibly rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional behavior. We felt unwelcome the entire time. Absolutely would not recommend this store.
