The Sports Arena in Bangor, Maine has much to offer for a fun-filled afternoon or evening out. Whether you're into arcades, pool, bowling, or just want to relax with a drink watching sports and enjoy some bar food, the Sports Arena has got you covered. The large playground area is nice, available for both kids and adults. It's great to see a venue that caters to all ages, making it a perfect spot for family outings or hanging out with friends. Another plus is the mini-golf outside, which adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall experience. However, I did notice that the cleanliness of the place could use some improvement, and some areas of the interior seemed a bit rough and could use a fresh coat of paint or some minor repairs to spruce things up. While it didn't significantly affect my enjoyment, I believe a cleaner and more well-maintained environment would enhance the overall experience for everyone. Additionally, during my visit in late July 2023, half of the bowling area was under repairs. So, if you're planning to go bowling, it's a good idea to call ahead and check for available lanes or see if you can place your name on the waiting list in advance. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun and diverse entertainment spot in Bangor, Maine. Whether you're spending time with family, friends, or even having a special celebration, the Sports Arena offers something for everyone.
You guys always make for a fun family time and the food is delicious! The arcade is huge and the new bowling lanes are awesome. With pool tables, corn hole, an arcade, food & drinks, etc. this place has something to do for everyone & we always enjoy coming. Thank you for providing a fun safe place for my family to enjoy!
Our first time there and it was so disappointing. We went to see Motor Booty Affair (they were great) but the venue was TERRIBLE. We paid $15 each extra for “box seats” which was 4 stools on a crowded wall!! Under a ceiling that looked like it was going to fall in on us (see photo). The dance floor is way too small and there is an unmarked drop off at the edge of the dance floor… my friend fell off it as soon as we got out there because someone bumped into us…and she landed face first on a 2’ high post… bruised her chest badly. Would have killed her if she had landed on her throat!! Shame on you for not providing a safer venue!!! Also, we had to pay for bottles of water… which is fine… but every time we got up to dance, someone cleared our 1/2 full bottles of water. I had to ask bartender for replacement twice. Sadly, we won’t going back to the Bangor Sports Arena.
